When we last left off, Eric, a young Pokémon trainer
just received his first Pokémon and is now letting it
out of the Pokéball...
Eric pulled out his Pokéball and said "Pokémon!
Come out!" A blinding flash followed. When the smoke
cleared, the image of a Pokémon could be seen. Eric's
Pokédex began to talk.
"Drowzee-a psychic Pokémon. It is known as the most
intelligent Pokémon in existance. It is one of the 52
Pokémon species that survived extiction during World War
3. It's problem solving skills almost parallel those of
humans. It's ability to eat dreams has not yet been
explained by scientists. When a Drowzee evolves into
Hypno, it aquires the ability to enter dreams and change
their outcome. This ability has saved the lives of many
people who have had life threatening nightmares. The
Drowzee looked at Eric. Drowzee was a very strange
looking Pokémon. It was yellow with a brown bottom. It
had four fingers on each hand and two toes on each foot.
It had small ears and swinty little eyes. It had a long
elephant-like nose. Eric liked his new Pokémon. Eric
looked up to see his Mom holding a camera. Click! Prof.
Garrison came to Eric, and said, "One last thing, be
sure to stay away from the ruins of Viridian City. That's
Team Rocket territory,"
"Ok, Prof. Garrison, I'll stay away from
there," Eric said. "What will you name him,
sweerheart?" his Mom asked. "Does he need a
name?" Eric said. "Don't talk such nonsense!
How would you like it if I called you 'human' all day
long?" his Mom scolded. Eric was surprised that his
Mom was making such a big deal about this. "Ok...how
about...Psycho!" Eric guessed. "Great! Well...I
guess you should be off..." his Mom said. Eric
started walking out of town. "Remember what I told
you! You could get killed there! Stay away from Viridian
City!" Garrison yelled to Eric.
Eric's quest was about to begin. Actually,it had already
begun. He spotted a Mew in the tall grasses. It was small
and fuzzy and had a long tail and leg. It had white fur
and ate the grass very quickly. Eric knew he had to catch
this Pokémon. "Alright! A Mew!" Eric cheered.
The Pokédex came to life in his pocket.
"Mew--- A field Pokémon. It is the most common and
easiest to capture Pokémon in the world. A perfect
choice for beginners to test their Pokémon's
skills," Eric got out a fresh Pokéball and threw
it. It sucked in Mew like a vacuum cleaner. The Pokéball
jiggled as the Mew fought for its freedom. Eric was tense
as the Pokéball rattled back and forth. Just as the
"Capture Sucessful" light was about to come on,
the Mew broke free. "No!" Eric yelled. "A
mistake made by too many Pokémon trainers make is
throwing a Pokéball at a Pokémon without having the
trainer's Pokémon battle the Pokémon that the trainer
is trying to catch." The Pokédex stated.
"Ok...Psycho!!!Go!!!" Eric screamed. Psycho ran
toward the Mew.
It was clear that the Mew did not want to be caught. It
slashed Psycho with it's tail. "Psycho! Pound
it!!" Eric yelled. Drowzee obeyed. The Mew flew to
the ground. Just as Psycho was going to pound it more,
Eric called him back. "Pokéball! Go!" Eric
yelled as he threw a Pokéball at the half dead Mew. The
Pokéball sucked in the Mew and the "Capture
Sucessful" light went on just as it sucked in the
Mew. "ALRIGHT!!!!!!THIS IS THE FIRST POKÉMON I EVER
CAUGHT!!!!!!!!!" Eric yelled. Eric was curious about
the Mew. He pushed the "More Info" button on
the Pokédex. "The Mew used to be the rarest
Pokémon 600 years ago. When a trainer found one, he gave
it to scientists. Using cloning techniques, they saved an
almost extinct race of Pokémon," the Pokédex
stated.
Later that day, just before it was about to become dark,
Eric spotted a sign that said "Welcome to Viridian
City" He was tempted to go there. I wish I could go
there... he thought. He had an idea. "Pokédex, rate
my Drowzee for me," Eric asked. "Your Drowzee
is definetly a powerful Pokémon. That is not unusual for
a Drowzee," the Pokédex answered. Eric started
toward Viridian City. Psycho is powerful enough to
protect me Eric thought. Eric was getting lonely so
he called out Psycho. As they were walking down the road,
Eric remembered something. "Wait, we haven't named
Mew yet!" Eric said. Eric said "Let's call
him---" "Her." The Pokédex corrected.
"ok...Let's call her...Samantha, after my Mom. What
do you think Psycho?". Psycho gave a snort of
approval.
It was nighttime and Eric was so excited about exploring
the ruins of Viridian City that he wasn't even sleepy.
When it was dark, he just kept walking until he saw a
charred sign that said,"Welcome to Viridian
City". Eric moved on until he could see charred
buildings everywhere. He saw a humunguos building with a
sign in front of it that said,"Viridian Gym #3"
Eric carefully walked inside, making sure not to cut
himself on any glass. He heard giggling...he walked
closer until the people who were giggling turned around
and saw him. "Hey! What are you doing here?"
the largest of the three said. Each one of them had white
shirts with big red R's drawn on them. "Who are
you?" Eric asked. "Don't be frightened little
boy!" the tallest one said. "Allow us to
introduce ourselves!"the middle tallest one said.
"To further the world towards devastation!" the
shortest one said. "To destroy all people within our
nation!"the tallest said. "To kill the evils of
truth and love!"the middle tallest said. "To
extend our reach to the stars above"the
shortest said(as they said this, they pointed at
themselves). "Jones!" the tallest one said
"Julius!" the middle tallest said
"Judohanimakatasoopapapapppapapapapppappapalafinatherfid!!!"
the shortest one said. They began to shout
together,"We are Team Rocket! Do not cry! 'Cause if
you do you will die!".
"What the heck was that all about???" Eric
said. "It's the Team Rocket theme! Wanna buy a copy
of the CD?"they all said as they waved the CD in
front of his face. "It'll only cost you...30000
yen(about $300)...Want one???"."No..."
Eric said. "What?! This is an outrage! You
die!"Jones said.
"Yes!Youdieyoudieyoudieyoudieyoudieyoudie---"
Judohanimakatasoopapapap-ppapapapapppappapalafinatherfid
said until Jones hit his head with a sandbag. "If
you won't give us your money..." Julius started to
saybut was cut off by
Judohanimakatasoopapa-papppapapapapppappapalafinatherfid
"We'll roll you up in a carpet and...and...bake
cookies...and...and...eat'm...then..." It was not
long until Jones beaned Judohamina...whatever his name is
with a steel ball.
They all simultaneosly threw their Pokéballs. Eric
responded by throwing his Psycho Pokéball. They each had
the following: an Alakazam, a Metafrog, and a Beedrill.
"Psycho! Use disable!!!" Eric yelled. Psycho
shot a disable beam out of his hands at the
Alakazam...but he dodged it! Instead it
hit...Judohan..whatever! "Great! He's dead!"
Jones said. Psycho shot another disable beam and it hit
the Metafrog! The Metafrog couldn't move! "Psycho!
Use body slam!" Eric yelled. "Alakazam...*sigh*
use confusion!" Jones said. The confusion wave hit
Psycho and he was confused! Eric threw his Mew Pokéball!
Mew was now on the battle field! "Samantha!
Use..uh...Quick Attack!" Eric yelled. Jones
said,"WHAT A MORON! Everbody knows that Mews don't
learn Quick Attack! I went to the Pokémon University in
Cinnibar and the first thing they taught us was that Mews
don't learn Quick Attack. Every test had a the question
"Does a Mew learn Quick Attack?" on it. I
always wrote "No" because I..." Jones
stopped talking to realize that Beedrill, and Metafrog
were lying on the ground. "Oh bother...*sigh*
Alakazam...Use..." but Jones suddenly realized his
Alakazam had fainted. "Team Rocket is now blasting
off!" said Julius. The three ran off with their
injured Pokémon. "Wow! I won my first victory!
Samantha, I didn't know you knew Quick Attack!" Eirc
yelled. Samntha blushed. Eric just remembered that Psycho
was seriously hurt!
Eric looked around and saw a motor cycle! It was brand
new! Team Rocket left their motor cycle! Eric got on and
drove off.I have to get Psycho to a Pokémon center!
Eric thought.
Eric found a motor cycle to take him to Pewter City! But
little does he know that Psycho's time is running out!
