Chapter #10

The group reached Cerulean City at sunset. During their walk Matt had
wondered why Misty hated Cerulean City so much. He was going to ask her
when they reached the city, but when they reached the town Misty was
nowhere to be seen.

"You guys seen Misty?" said Matt.

"She probably went to Vermilion," said Justin, "She really wanted to go
there."

"I think that she is afraid of Cerulean," said Matt.

"Maybe she is," said Justin, getting that same stupid look, "His
psychic powers predicted Jack turning into a Meowth!"

"You idiot!" shouted Matt,"I AM NOT A PSYCHIC, OKAY!"

"Why are you so worried about Misty anyway?" said Jared, "Do you like
her? I bet you do!"

"I DO NOT LIKE MISTY!" shouted the already furious Matt. "If you two
don't shut up I'll kill you!" finished Matt.

"He's denying it! Just like the psychic thing," said Justin, who still
had that stupid look on his face, "He likes her!"

"That's it, you die now!" said Matt as he jumped at Justin and prepared
to kick him. "No!" shouted Justin covering his face. He stood there
for about a minute until he heard a loud scream. He looked behind him
to see Matt lying on the ground, crying, and holding his knee. "Son of
a," shouted Matt. (NOTE : MATT IS CRAZY ABOUT GRAMMAR AND NEVER SWEARS,
HE JUST STARTS THE STATEMENT AND NEVER FINISHES IT.)

"Great job you guys!" shouted Brock, "Look at him! This is your
fault! If you would just shut up about that psychic crap, Justin, this
would have never happened! Stop standing there you idiots! We need to
get him to a hospital!"

When Matt finally woke up he found himself in a hotel room. That's
right, a hotel room. Not a hospital, okay. Good I'm glad we
understand. Let's get back to the story.

Matt looked at his leg and found out that nothing had happened to it.
He looked around the room to find out it had a window that overlooked
the whole city. Matt got up and looked out to see Misty sneaking around
the area near the hotel. "Hey, Misty!" shouted Matt out of his third
story window, "Come up here! I need to ask you something!" He had
yelled but she just walked underneath the hotel pretending not to hear.
"Wait!" shouted Matt as he got out of the room. Matt ran out to see
Misty running away from him at an incredibly fast speed. He followed
her, Pikachu at his side, until they came up to a big building. The
sign in front of the building read 'Cerulean City Gym, Leaders:The 2
Sensational Sisters'.

"Sensational Sisters?" said Matt puzzled, "I thought that there was
only supposed to be one gym leader. Who cares, Pikachu, c'mon we gotta
beat them!"

"Chu ka pika?"(What about Misty[NOTE: NOBODY CAN UNDERSTAND POKéMON
TALK ] )

Totally ignoring Pikachu's talk Matt walked into the big building. He
looked his left and saw a pokémon battling arena. Before he could check
his right, Jared jumped in front of him.

"Matt! Nice to see you!" He said, "Come in here! The gym leaders are
giving out their badges! They only have a whimpy Goldeen. That's why!
C'mon move it!"

The two ran into the room to Matt's left and prepared to receive their
badges. There they met Justin who was showing off his badge he
"earned". Jason walked up and took his. Just as Matt reached out he
saw a shadow jump from the ceiling. It looked like it was about to land
right in front of him. Instead it landed in the water and screamed. He
looked over and saw that the figure was Misty. He quickly helped her
out.

"Hi sis," said one of the sisters.

"Hey, look if it isn't the little girl who said she wouldn't come home
until she was a pokémaster!" said the other.

"And who is this chump?" said the first girl, directed at Matt, "Your
boyfriend? Seriously! I thought you would have better taste."(Note:
They have been introduced to Justin and Jared already. They also pick
Matt because he is the weakest looking.)

"Remember who we're talking about," said the second sister, "He's
probably the best she could find!"

At this point the whole group, except Matt and Misty are laughing on
the floor.

"SHUT UP!" shouted Misty, "I HATE THIS BOY! HE JUST NEEDED MY HELP TO
SURVIVE! NOW THAT WE ARE HERE I PLAN TO GO BACK TO PEWTER AND CHALLENGE
BROCK'S REPLACEMENT!" After she finished she looked where Matt was
standing and told him that she didn't want to be so mean to him. He
said he was used to it. Then he said something totally unexpected.
"Let's battle! That's the only way I can prove that I don't like you!"

After the rules were set-up the opponents went to their corners of the
battle room.

"Starmie, GO"

"Pikachu, I CHOOSE YOU!"

"Pika pika." (No way) said Pikachu holding on to Matt's hands.

"Thanks Pikachu! Pikachu! Pikachu! Pikachu! Your a real pika-pal!"
shouted Misty.

"Fine," said Matt, "Abra, GO!"

"Starmie, SPINNING TACKLE!"

"Abra, Teleport to that wall!"

Starmie launched itself at the Abra, standing next to the wall.

"Abra, Teleport back!"

Starmie crashed into the wall and Misty called it back.

"Staryu, GO!"

"Abra, Return!"

The tired Abra is sucked back into the pokéball.

"Celefairy, GO!"

"Celefairy, METRONOME!"

Suddenly, Celefairy fell asleep.

"NO!" shouted Matt.

"I win! Staryu, Finish it off with a SPINNING TACK..."

"SPINNING TACK?" said Matt, confused.

Suddenly the ground started to shake. The pokémon were called back
just in time. A huge hole opened up and sucked in the platforms they
were standing on. Matt, Pikachu, and Misty quickly jumped off and made
it to dry land. Suddenly three figures appeared.

"Not Team Shuttle," said Jared in an annoying voice.

"Hi there!" said Julie.

"Just hand over the pokémon and we won't hurt you," said Meowth.

"Never!" shouted Matt, "Besides, how would you get them?"

Jake pointed to a large pump and a hose. He flicked a switch and
started to suck in the water.

"What will that do?" said Justin.

"Pikachu! Squirtle!" shouted Matt as he realized that Pikachu and
Squirtle were sucked into the water. (You want us to kill Charmander?)

Matt looked around for a solution until he realized that he to was
spinning around.

"What the," shouted Matt. (Remember the grammar thing?) Suddenly an
idea came to him.

"Pikachu, ELECTRIC SHOCK!" shouted Matt.

This blew the area under Team Shuttle away. Thus launching them out of
the building and into 'orbit'. It also stopped the machine.

After Matt crawled out of the water (Pikachu surfed in on Squirtle) he
was awarded the CASCADE BADGE for caring for his pokémon and being a
good opponent.

"You don't deserve that badge!" said Misty, "My sisters just thought
you were pathetic."

"C'mon guys, we gotta get to the hotel so we can leave town in the
morning," said Matt.

"Wait!" shouted Misty, "You can sleep for free in the guest's room at
my house."

"Free is cheaper than more than free," said Justin. Jared hit him hard
on the head at this.

...

"And this is my new go-cart," said Misty very proud after finishing her
tour of her house.

"Can I try it out in the morning?" said Matt.

"Okay," said Misty, reluctantly, "Remember, if you break it you pay for
it!"

That morning Misty kept her promise and let Matt ride the go-cart. He
was doing fine until he tried to do a stunt to impress Pikachu. He
drove up to Pikachu and tried to swivel around. Pikachu thought he had
lost control of the cart and would hit him. Pikachu shocked the go-cart
and blew it up. Matt was tossed out of the cart and hit Misty's bike,
breaking it in half, with his feet. (Who couldn't see that coming?)

"You okay?" said Justin who was very worried about Matt.

"I'm okay," said Matt, okay, but a little dazed.

"Who cares about him! I want my money for the repairs on my go-cart
and bike!" shouted Misty.

"I don't have enough cash," said Matt.

"You did not need to tell her that!" shouted Jared, "Run for your
life!"

How will Matt pay for Misty's bike and go-cart? Will Misty follow the
group forever? Who is the authority on water pokémon-Jared or Misty?
