Once again I am not a professional writer, but I try. I will not brief you on part 1 so read it. Any pokemon and Characters used here that I did not make (You know who.) is property of their respective owners. The Pokemon Quiz for today isn’t that hard but who knows what I’ll come up with. If you read this thanks for your time if not, well I can’t say anything can I. So with out any more Interruptions ( Unless you suffer a power out ) here is part 2 of Pokemon Journey.
Pokemon Journey
Part II: Jester vs. JJ
As JJ heads down the road to Viridian Forest he will have to make a stop at Viridian City. If he wants to catch pokemon he needs poke balls to catch them in. Over the hill he saw the first buildings of the city. Viridian wasn’t that much bigger than Pallet, but it didn’t need Professor Oak to put it somewhere on the map.
"Ah ha. There’s the Poke mart." JJ noted as he began down the hill.
His Journey was about to take it first steps to the Pokemon League and the so called Elite Four. The Elite Four, as they called themselves, were the most famous, well known, and well feared trainers in the history of pokemon trainers. And for very good reasons.
"Time to get some goods." He declared.
As he entered the building he saw it was a little bigger than he thought, but not by much. He first picked up 10 extra poke balls for every possible pokemon he would need to catch in the forest. He also got a couple of Potions for the journey to Pewter City, beyond the forest. Pewter had the first Gym and the first badge. He read about the different leaders of the gyms. Pewter’s Gym leaders, past and present, used rock pokemon. JJ hoped he’d catch a grass or water pokemon. He took the items to the cashier to buy the products. The man quickly totaled the prices and tolled the amount due.
"One hundred and two dollars young man." He said as the items were traded for cash.
"Thanks." JJ replied. "Hey," he queried. "Know any good pokemon in the forest?"
"If your lucky," The Man began, "You may find a Pikachu, Caterprie, Weedle and some abandoned pokemon. Trainers who want rid of pokemon usually go there."
"Thanks again." JJ said as he left the mart.
"Poor pokemon" he thought. "Just get to know your trainer then BAM out to the curb like yesterdays garbage."
Next he went to the pokemon center to get tips on raising pokemon. He also thought his new Charmander could use a little time to stretch it’s legs. When he arrived it didn’t appear busy.
"Hello," a kind female voice said. He turned to see a nurse with pink hair in two loops behind her head. "I’m nurse Joy, how may I help you?"
"Well," JJ began, "I could use some tips on training and raising pokemon."
"I’m sorry, I only cure pokemon, not train them."
"Oh well, I can at least let Charmander stretch his legs out."
"Feel free to let it walk around with you."
"Thanks."
JJ pushed the button and tossed the ball. When it landed Charmander came out on the floor.
"Char Charm."
"Why don’t you stretch your legs out."
"Char."
When a pikachu is exposed to a thunder stone what does it evolve into?
JJ sat down as his pokemon looked around when a girl, with a badly damaged Staru in her arms, rush in ran forward and would have tripped over Charmander if he hadn’t dove out of the way while the girl kept saying…
"Hang on Staru I’ll get you to the nurse."
"What was that about?" JJ wondered as she disappeared into the emergency room.
"Charm." The small dinosaur replied confused himself.
Five minutes passed before the girl came out and came up to JJ as he was reading a pokemon magazine.
"Is this seat taken?" she asked.
"No." JJ replied.
The girl had green hair in a pony tail, and was wearing jeans and a bleu T-shirt. Charmander walked up to say hello to the new face.
"Char Charm." The girl looked at the fire pokemon.
"That your pokemon there?" The girl asked.
"Yep. That my Charmander."
"Char."
"So what was with the dash to the E.R.?" JJ asked.
"I put Staru in a fight he couldn’t win." She explained.
Then Joy came out of the E.R., looked for the girl to give her the news.
"Pardon." Joy said to get her attention. "Staru is fighting fit.
The girl made a quick dash to find her recovered Staru as JJ and the fiery pokemon traded confused looks.
"Come on Charmander, we’d better get to that forest."
"Char." The pokemon said as JJ held out his poke ball.
"Charmander return." And in a flash of light Charmander went in the ball.
As JJ walked out of the poke center he looked towards the forest. He was ready for the forest, but before he took two steps he heard a certain voice.
"Hey! Wait up!" JJ turned around to see the girl come from the center.
"What?" JJ asked.
"Hey we haven’t introduced each other." She replied holding out her hand. "I’m Lisa."
"My friends call me JJ." He said as he shook her hand.
"And I’m Jester." Both Lisa and JJ turned to see a guy with jeans leather jacket and a flat top.
"Since I knocked her pokemon around I think I’ll do the same to yours."
Before JJ could respond he tossed out a poke ball. When it hit, a pokemon that looked some what like a frog with a bulb on it’s back came out.
"A Bulbasaur." JJ declared pulling out the Pokedex.
"Bulbasaur. A plant pokemon. A strange seed is planted on its back. Scientist are unsure if the Bulbasaur is plant or animal."
"One on One kid," Jester challenged "My Bulbasaur against whatever you got."
"All right then," JJ called out. "Charmander, I choose you." JJ tossed his only pokemon into its first fight.
"Charm."
Jester started the fight with the first command.
"Bulbasaur, Razor Leaf."
"Charmander Flame Thrower." JJ shot back as the leafs shot at Charmander where quickly burned.
"Bulbasaur, Tackle."
"Charmander Ember attack." Charmander spun around letting flames toss in mid air as Jester’s Bulbasaur caught on fire, and it’s bulb quickly burned.
"Bulb…a…saur." The plant pokemon said before passing out.
"Bulbasaur return." Jester said as he brought his pokemon back.
"Well," he said seemingly undisturbed. "Good Match." JJ and Lisa looked at each other in confusion before turning back to Jester. "Your from Pallet. Right?"
"Well," JJ began "I’m actuality from Sea Ward Village, but I got Charmander from Professor Oak in Pallet Town."
"Charm."
"Well kid," Jester started again. "Just to give ya a tip look out for Team Rocket. They’ll steal Charmseter there faster than you Can snap your finger. Believe me, I know."
"Thanks, I think." JJ replied to the hopefully useful advice.
"Well see ya around kiddies." Jester said as turned an headed down the street.
"I’m thankful." JJ said.
"Because you won a battle?" Lisa asked.
"No, that Jester wasn’t a sore loser." JJ replied as he turned his attention back to forest.
"Come on Charmander." He called.
"Charm."
"Wait." Lisa said, again getting JJ’s attention.
"What now?"
"Charm?"
"Let me come with you please, please, please."
"Charm? Ander?" The fire pokemon asked.
"What for?"
"Hey," Lisa said almost defensively. "Girl needs an adventure now and then."
"What do you think." JJ asked his only pokemon at the moment.
"Charm." He said nodding.
"All right, Charmander return!" He called as he held out the poke ball.
When Charmander was back in the ball Lisa asked.
"Where to?"
"Viridian Forest for Pokemon." JJ answered as the new duo head towards the forest and the next battle.
